Dubai Seaplane Tours

Dubai Seaplane Tours

Seawings enable you to have an unusual sightseeing experience across Dubai’s ever expanding coastal and unique skyline. The aeriel tour takes in Dubai’s most famous landmarks including The Palm Jumeirah, The Burj Khalifa, The World Islands, Burj Al Arab, Historic Dubai Creek, Port Rashid and more.

The Dubai sightseeing flights operate between 600-3000 feet high so you get great close up sights of the landmarks. I will never forget the site of Dubai Creek when we came into land, skimming across the waves until we came to a stop.

Dubai Seaplane Flight

Most of the flights depart from the Jebel Ali Golf Resort or The Dubai Creek and use a 9 seater float plane. There is no better feeling than bouncing along over the waves as the pilot applies full power, then everything turns smooth as the sea plane lifts into the sky. As it is only a small plane every seat has a window, so nobody misses out on the views below. The plane also passes over each landmark twice in opposite directions, to allow everybody on board the chance to take their photographs.

Book your seaplane tour here

Tips

Pre-book your Seaplane Flight as availability is limited at peak times

The plane has no toilet so make sure that you go prior to the flight

You get a free bottle of water on the flight so there is no need to take your own.

If you get on first, why not sit directly behind the pilot and watch how he fly’s the plane.

It’s pretty hot inside the plane, so travel in light clothing.

Jeep Safari Dubai

Desert Safari Dubai Deals

A desert safari is a great way to explore the vast wilderness of desert in the UAE. Most of the excursions are operated by large 4×4 vehicles such as the Toyota Landcruiser or similar vehicles. The vehicles will take you deep into the desert where the dunes are the best!

Various tour packages can be booked including dune buggy safaris, overnight desert safari’s and day time safari with BBQ lunch. Some tours give you the chance to try out a camel ride.

At times you need to hold on tight as the dunes undulate and your vehicle bounces around but it’s great fun. In between the roller coaster ride you will stop off at various points in the desert to get your souvenir photo’s and video’s. Some tours will take you into traditional desert camps to have lunch with the locals before you return to the city lights of Dubai.

Many reviews on the internet state that the desert safari is the most enjoyable part of the holiday, I can agree with that!

Hints:

Try to get in the front of the vehicle to get the full effect of the roller-coaster ride over the dunes.

The Lost Chambers

The Lost Chambers is like discovering the fables underwater world of Atlantis in real life. There are lots of maze like corridors, every corner which you takes brings a new breed of Sea Creature staring at you from the massive aquarium tanks which surround you.

As you turn the next corner you could come face to face with marine life from around the world including sharks, giant catfish, giant arapaima. My favourite part of Atlantis was the pool which contained Starfish, the guide actually let me pick one out to look at!

I don’t think that I have ever seen an Aquarium so big as this in my life.

You can pre book your tickets to visit the aquarium by clicking here

Dubai Waterpark

Wild Wadi Waterpark Dubai

This Dubai Waterpark belongs to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel but you can buy a day ticket to access it. The park has many area and is suitable for both young children, teens and adults. If you are into surfing there is an excellent area called wipeout and riptide which send out massive waves into which you can surf. There are only 4 rides like this worldwide.

Wipeout & Riptide

Breakers Bay is another wave pool which sends out 1.5 metre waves which you can swim into. I like standing for the wave to arrive, and then get washed off my meet as it hits me. It feels like you are doing somersaults in the water!

Breaker's Bay

Flood river allows you to ride a rubber ring around a mekebelieve river. The only snag is, every so often they send a massive tide of extra water and you have to cling on tight and ride the waves. It is great fun!

Flood River

Juhas journey is much more relaxed. You simply ride on a ring around a lazy river and relax.Juhas Dow And Lagoon is for the smaller kids. It is a large pool with many water slides running into it. Be careful though, here is a massive buckets which empties and covers everybody nearby with water.

Tantrum Alley is a great water ride. Up to 4 people can share a tube and you are thrown all over the place as you are thrown through 2 tornadoes and pass through the eye of the storm.

Master Blasters is like a water based roller coaster. You can be blasted up to 15 storeys high before commencing the journey around the ride on your tube.

Buraj Surf is one of my favourite rides. You go flying down a really steep slide in a tube, get thrown around two twisting spiralling twists before you are dropped into a second slide and dumped into the pool.

The Jumeirah Sceirah is the ride I was too scared to go on. You climb up a 32 m tower, And then have to stand inan enclosed capsule. You are in the dark and then the bottom of the capsule open and you are in free fall, dropping 120m at 80km/hour. Maybe I will try this when I’m a little older!

Jumeirah Sceirah

Top Tips

The water park gets very busy, especially at weekends.Try to visit mid week and get there at opening time 1000. Plane which rides you want to go on and get to those 1st before the queues get too big.

Kids, you need to wear a hat or cap. There is not a lot of shade and it gets really hot in here.

Expedia do a great deal on tickets for this waterpark, please click here for details

Burj Khalifa, Dubai.

The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world, stretching 828 meters. This wonder can be seen from 20km away. At the top, you can look down using a high-powered telescope; still you can’t see the people below you.

You enter the tower from the Dubai Mall so your mum can do her shopping before the visit. You are best booking tickets from the official website as they only let a certain number of people up the tower at a time.

The Big Bus Tour is your open top bus tour of Dubai’s famous area’s demonstrating the rapid rise of Dubai from a small fishing village to a modern, world class city. Take the Day Tour and use the hop-on, hop-off facility to see all of the attractions which have made Dubai famous, or get on the Evening Tour in darkness which gives a totally different take on the city with buildings and hotels illuminated. We highly recommend that you take an organised excursion into the desert with a tour company, as it is very easy to become lost in the vast wilderness. Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo

Dubai Aquarium  is a massive Aquarium , located in The Dubai Mall. It is the largest suspended aquarium in the world, hosting thousands of different variates of sea life which you cannot find in other areas of the world. I have never been so close to a Shark before,it seemed to be staring at me for ages!

Top Tip : Make a day of it. Visit the Aquarium in the morning, have lunch and then go upstairs and visit Sega World in the afternoon. After Sega followw the signs for TGI Fridays, get an outdoor table and watch the massive fountain show as the sun sets.

The Fountains fire up  water 450 feet into the air making it the world’s largest fountain as it dances to the different notes of music which is played as part of the show.

Dubai Hot Air Balloon Flights

This involves an early start as you need to be deep into the desrt by sunrise to ensure that the conditions are calm enough for the ride. There is no better feeling than looking down on the vast expense of desert, looking towards the city in the distance. The flights are really peaceful as you drift along in silence admiring the views below. Click here for desert balloon flight details

Jumeirah Beach and Park

You have the choice of sun bathing and playing in the park swimming pool, or walking through the park and joining the sea where you can then play in the crystal clear Arabian Sea. The Park has picnic area, playgrounds and climbing areas, all pools are monitored by lifeguards making this a great place to visit for the day.

Dubai Sea Plane Tours

Jump on a sea plane and enjoy the exhilaration of taking off on water before swooping low across the Dubai Sky Line. Most tours last for around 30 minutes which gives you long enough to fly up the coast and see sights such as the Palm, Burj Hotel and the magnificent Burj Khallifa Tower. Click here for the Dubai Sea Plane Excursion review

Helicopter flight’s

Another way to see the sights is to take a helicopter flight over the city. Both day and night time flights exist. Marvel at the wonders of Dubai from the air.

Swim with Dolphins

The Atlantis Palm hotel gives you the opportunity to swim with the Dolphins in one of their vast lagoons. This is available as an add on supplement for hotel guests, or as a pre bookable day excursion to hotel visitors. I never realised that Dolphins were so friendly, especially towards children as they seem to enjoy playing with you.

Indoor Sky Diving With ifly Dubai

This is a sky diving simulator where a massive blast of air keeps you suspended in flight as if you were actually sky diving. The great thing is that even kids can take part in the dive, which you certainly cannot do in real life! You get all of the kit and an instructor gives you a briefing on what to do. Don’t worry, you are hovering low level over a trampoline type structure so if you fall you will simply bounce!

Dinner in a Doughnut

No you are not seeing things! Board a doughnut shaped mini boat (I think that they carry up to 6 people) and float into the lagoon whilst you cook dinner on the on board barbecue! I cant say that I have experienced a meal like this anywhere else in the world! You can book your dinner in a doughnut experience at the Dubai Golf Club

Take A Dhow Tour

A Dhow is based on an old fashioned fishing boat which used to frequent the Dubai Creek area. You can now cross the creek on a Dhow ride as part of your doubke decker bus tour ticket, or you can prebook a leisurely dinner cruise down the creek taking in the sights at sunset.

Mandalay Bay Las Vegas

Last year, me my mum and my dad visited Las Vegas. We stayed at the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino. The hotel was child friendly because it had an amazing wave pool and a ¼ of a kilometer lazy rive, in which, you can sit back and relax in. With amazing cabanas this hotel has to be one the best in America.

Beach and Wave Pool

The wave pool is amazing because the waves can reach up to 6 feet high! : I would rate the pool. ++++~

Lazy River Cabana

Atlantis The Palm

This is a great child friendly hotel situated on the Palm in Dubai.

There are so many things to do for kids here.

Dubai waterpark

The big attraction for me was the attached Aquaadventure Water Park. This has free entry for all hotel guests. It is also a large attraction for other tourists so it is best to get up early when the watter park is quiet. The park has lots of slides and lazy rivers. One of the slides takes you through a clear tube into a pool full of sharks (don’t worry, they cant get to you)
There is also Dolphin Bay here where you can swim with the dolphins.

If you are not staying at The Atlantis you can still come and buy a day pass for the Waterpark by clicking here.

Lost Chambers Dubai

The hotel has a massive aquarium called The Lost Chambers. When you walk into the hotel you will see the massive Aquarium which has all kinds of fish and sharks. Some hotel rooms even look into the Aquarium, rather than have windows so you can wake up in the morning eye to eye with a shark.

Beaches

The are two massive pools, and a large beach. Here’s a hint for you. We went in October and although the sea looked shallow and warm, there were lots of Jellyfish and I saw 3 people get stung. If I were you I would stay on the beach. Im not sure if the jellyfish are around all year or not!

There are lots of shops in the hotel, I prefered the ones in Aquaadventure as they sold more toys and things for kids.

Exciting things to do

There are lots of activities for kids to try out in Dubai. Some of my favourites are the Desert Safari’s, Ferrari World Theme Park in Abu Dhabi and sledging in Ski Dubai (yes there is snow in Dubai!). A list of excursions can be found by clicking here

Kid Clubs

The hotel has the following for kids

A kids club for up to 12 year olds

A command center with Xbox, Playstations and Apple Computers

A play zone with climbing walls

A creation zone for making things (such as cookies)

An underwater theatre where you can view the aquarium.

There are also area’s where 13-18 year old’s can hang out including life like bars and disco’s (obviously no alcohol), theatre, internet cafe and games zone with various game consoles and Apple Pc’s.

Don’t miss the Coldstone ice cream parlour, where you pick the ingrediants before they make you the desert from heaven!

The hotel is situated on the Palm which is fairly isolated from the rest of the city. Taxis are not expensive and once in the City (about a 10 minute journey to Dubai Marina) there are many excursions to go on and attractions to see.

I’ve put a link to some accessories that you may find useful for your trip below:

Rockley Park, Poole, Dorset

Rockley Park,Pool,Dorset,England (Haven Holidays)

We stayed in a nice Caravan which was big enough for my Mum, Dad and Grandparents. The site was great, there are lots of things to do for children. My parents wanted to stay at a holiday park near to Bournemouth and this was ideal.

There is an outdoor pool for when it is warm. There is also an indoor heated pool with a great twisty water slide which I went on many times.

There are lots of activities such as a climbing wall, crazy golf and football training.

Climb Wall at Rockley ParkBreakfast with the characters at Rockley ParkOutdoor Pool at Rockley Park

You must walk down to the marina and try some crab fishing. My top hint, use bacon and put it in a little net bag that you can buy from the shop down at the marina. The crabs grab hold of the bacon and won’t let go, we caught about 20 in 1 hour. When you catch them put them in the bucket and then before you go home let them out and watch them race back into the sea.

There is a large amusement arcade next to the sites restaurant. You win tokens from various machines and at the end of the week exchange them for vouchers.

FunWorks Arcade at Rockley Park

There are lots of things to do nearby. Try out Splashdown which is a nearby indoor water park n Pool, there are lots of rides, slides and lazy river. As the holiday park is near to Bournemouth we went to the beach one day, and the Alice in Wonderland mini them park near to the airport.

Get your parents to drive you to Monkey World which is about a hour drive away. This is a massive zoo full of monkeys and you have great fun watching them do silly things. There is also a great tank museum near to Monkey World.

Finally try out Beauleau Car museum. There are some brilliant cars on show here and also a really big country house.

Premier Inn, Bath Road Heathrow

Premier Inn, Heathrow Airport

We stayed at this hotel whilst visiting Lego land and London as my dad didn’t want to drive into London because it is too busy. The hotel is right at the end of the runway at Heathrow and has an outdoor picnic area where you can almost touch the planes as they land over the top of you. I also like the Costa Coffee in the hotel and the Ben and Jerries Ice Cream machine.

You can get a bus from the hotel into Heathrow Airport and then catch the tube into London. This hotel is also near to Heathrow terminal 3 and has a hotel shuttle.
